Japanese Music Magazine The Walker’s Vol. 58

16th September 2019

“British female saxophone player and vocalist’s new album recorded with all her heart.”

Great to be featured in Japanese music magazine The Walker’s.

“Kim Cypher comes from Cheltenham, UK. This is second leader album for her and she dedicates this album to everyone who supports her on her musical journey, her friends, her loyal supporters, everyone who keeps her going. Pee Wee Ellis, who is known to have played with James Brown and Van Morrison joins this album.

The Album has 11 songs including “Breezin’”, which is featuring Lee Jones’s guitar and known well with George Benson’s great performance. “Valerie”, which we can listen to Kim’s vocal. “People Get Ready”, which is written by Curtis Mayfield and Kim plays nice saxophone and B.D. Lenz’s guitar is crying. “Highland Mike”, which we can listen to Kim & Pee Wee Ellis’s saxophone. Particularly, I like Kim’s saxophone playing on “Soul Eyes”.
